Policy Overview

Arrival and Departure

We encourage students to arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts. Dancers who arrive late may be asked to observe class at the discretion of the instructor to prevent injury and class disruptions. Please do not drop off children 7 or younger without adult supervision. Stay with your child until she enters the classroom, and pick her up promptly at the end of class.

Attendance

Attendance is vital to the growth and development of a dancer’s training. All dancers are expected to attend class on a regular basis. Excessive absences may result in suspension from studio performances.

Cell Phone Policy

No cell phones or computers may be used during class time or brought into the studios.

Class Observation

We will have two class observation dates this year for friends and families to attend. Dates to be decided. Otherwise, classes are closed to friends or family members.

Food Policy

No food, drink, or gum in the studio. All food consumed outside of the studio must be cleaned up and thrown in the trash. Water in a closed container is allowed in the studio.

Illness

If a dancer is ill, please stay home until they are well enough to fully participate in class and non-contagious. Please email or call Sydnee if you plan to keep your child home.

Tuition is not reduced due to illness, injury, absenteeism, or inclement weather.

Makeup Classes

Students who miss a class will have the opportunity to make up that class with a similar class within 4 weeks of their absence. Please ask Sydnee which class would be the best option for your dancer to make up.

Medical Information

Please notify Sydnee of any medical conditions or special needs your child may have. All medical information is kept confidential.

Weather Cancellation

Please check your email and Facebook page for inclement weather cancellations. We will assess the risk and determine whether or not class needs to be cancelled one hour prior to the first class of the day.

Lost and Found

Please mark all dance wear, shoes, and personal items with your child’s name. We will make every effort to return lost items; however, we cannot be responsible for any items your child brings to class.

Substitute Teachers

Imagine Dance Project reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach class. In the event that we cannot offer an appropriate substitute, the class may be cancelled or rescheduled.

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

A parent or student may request a conference with the director by appointment only. There will be no conferences between classes, without an appointment, or without the director present.

Termination of Enrollment

Imagine Dance Project reserves the right to terminate enrollment of a student due to certain circumstances. For example behavior that disrupts class, other students, or instructors, abuse of other students instructors, or property, dangerous behavior displayed by student or parents, or the inability to meet a child’s needs.

Dropping A Class

If a family wishes to drop a student from a class, it must be done on the 20th of the month prior to the month the student wishes to end enrollment. There will be no refunds given for classes dropped after this time due to our billing structure.
